Do not ship anything to us before you receive an RMA number and written instructions.
Suppressors Built With Confidence
Echo Zulu Defense, LLC warrants every suppressor we manufacture against defects in materials and workmanship for the life of the product, under normal use.
We also go further than that. Things happen at the range, and we would rather get you shooting again than argue about fault. Damage from ordinary mistakes is handled case by case, described below, and in many cases we simply take care of it.
This warranty applies exclusively to suppressors manufactured by Echo Zulu Defense. It is extended to the original purchaser and is non-transferable. Proof of original purchase is required, though for serialized products we can usually verify from the serial number alone.
This page is the controlling statement of our warranty terms and prevails over any summary elsewhere on this site.
1. What Is Covered
We warrant our suppressors to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for the lifetime of the product when used under normal conditions and maintained as directed.
If a covered defect occurs, Echo Zulu Defense will repair or replace the suppressor at our option, at no cost to you, including shipping in both directions. Repair or replacement is your exclusive remedy under this warranty.
- Defects in materials, welds, joints, and additive manufacturing structure.
- Machining, threading, and assembly defects.
- Premature failure of internal components under rated use.
- Defects in the application of the factory finish.
2. Damage From Ordinary Mistakes
Accidents happen during normal use. Where damage results from minor or unintentional misuse by the owner, we evaluate the situation case by case and will often repair or replace the suppressor at no charge.
This is a courtesy we extend at our discretion, not a warranty entitlement, and it is limited to one no-charge replacement per calendar year. If a suppressor cannot be repaired, we may provide a replacement unit under this provision.
Talk to us before you assume something is not covered. A single baffle strike from a loose mount is a very different conversation than a suppressor that has been fired well past its rated duty cycle.
3. What Is Not Covered
This warranty does not extend to severe misuse, abuse, or intentional acts that damage the suppressor.
- Gross misuse, abuse, or failure to follow operational and maintenance instructions.
- Use of ammunition outside published specifications, including overpressure, reloaded, or improperly loaded ammunition.
- Firing rates, round counts, or duty cycles exceeding published limits for the model.
- Modification, alteration, refinishing, re-engraving, or repair by anyone not authorized by Echo Zulu Defense.
- Normal wear and tear, carbon fouling, and expected erosion of internal components.
- Finish discoloration from heat, and cosmetic wear from mounting and handling.
- Corrosion, neglect, fire, accident, or causes beyond our reasonable control.
- Intentional destruction or purposeful negligence.
- Any suppressor sold or transferred by the original owner to another person or entity.
- Any suppressor not lawfully acquired and held.
4. Mounts, Muzzle Devices, And Accessories
Mounts, muzzle devices, and accessories manufactured by Echo Zulu Defense are warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for one year from the date of purchase. They are wear items subject to heat, torque, and carbon, and this warranty does not cover erosion, thread wear, or finish loss from normal use.
Items manufactured by third parties and resold by us carry the original manufacturer’s warranty, which we will help you pursue.
5. Host Firearm And Mounting Damage
This warranty covers our product. It does not cover damage to your host firearm, optic, or other equipment, however caused.
Suppressor performance and safety depend on correct thread pitch, bore alignment, and concentricity. Damage traced to a worn, out-of-spec, or improperly threaded host, or to a mount that was not correctly torqued and verified, falls outside this warranty.
6. Maintenance Responsibilities
You are responsible for maintaining the suppressor according to the guidelines we provide for your model and material. Failure to maintain the product properly may cause issues this warranty does not cover.
Cleaning method matters. Some solvents and ultrasonic methods appropriate for one material will damage another. If you are unsure what is safe for your suppressor, contact us before cleaning it rather than after.
7. Repair Versus Replacement, And What Paperwork Applies
This is the part customers most often get wrong, and the difference is significant.
Repair Of Your Existing Suppressor
Sending a registered suppressor to a licensed manufacturer for repair, and receiving it back, is not a transfer. No new ATF application or tax stamp is required, because ownership never changes and the serial number stays with you. You get your suppressor back, repaired.
We will still ask you to include documentation with the shipment. We will tell you exactly what to send when we issue your RMA.
Replacement With A Different Suppressor
A replacement unit is a different serialized firearm. It must be registered and transferred to you in the same manner as a new suppressor, which means a new transfer through your dealer and a new approval wait.
There is currently no federal transfer tax on that replacement. The federal transfer and making tax for suppressors was reduced to $0 effective January 1, 2026. If a federal transfer tax is reinstated in the future, Echo Zulu Defense will cover that cost on any replacement issued for a covered manufacturing defect.
Because replacement restarts the transfer clock and repair does not, we repair wherever repair is possible.
Serial Numbers And Tubes
We cannot perform a repair that removes, obliterates, or alters the serial number. Where damage to the serialized component makes that unavoidable, the item cannot be repaired. We will return it to you in its damaged condition or, at your direction, handle it another lawful way, and we will discuss replacement options with you.
8. Warranty Claim Procedure
Submit the RMA request form on this page, or email rma@echozuludefense.com, to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization number.
- Do not ship a suppressor to us before you receive an RMA number and written shipping instructions. We reserve the right to refuse any shipment that does not follow this procedure.
- Include the RMA number on the outside of the package and on the paperwork inside.
- Include the documentation we specify when we issue the RMA.
- Tell us the host firearm, ammunition, and approximate round count. It is often the fastest route to a diagnosis.
- Ship the suppressor only. Do not send mounts, host firearms, or accessories unless we ask for them.
9. Turnaround Times
- We typically provide a claim determination within 10 business days of receiving the item.
- Approved repairs or replacements generally take an additional 10 business days.
- If replacement requires a new transfer through your dealer, add current ATF processing time for that transfer, which is outside our control.
These are targets, not guarantees. We will tell you if your claim is going to take longer than expected rather than leave you guessing.
10. Shipping Costs
- Approved warranty claims: we cover shipping in both directions.
- Courtesy repairs under Section 2: handled case by case; we will tell you before any cost is incurred.
- Claims determined not to be covered: we will contact you with a repair quote. If you decline, you are responsible for return shipping.
11. Ownership And Transferability
This warranty is extended to the original purchaser only and does not transfer. A suppressor that has been sold or transferred to another person or entity is no longer covered.
If you inherit or otherwise lawfully receive an Echo Zulu Defense suppressor, contact us. We are not obligated to cover it, but we would rather talk to you than have you shooting something we have concerns about.
12. Limitation Of Liability
Repair or replacement as described above is your exclusive remedy. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Echo Zulu Defense, LLC is not liable for incidental, indirect, special, or consequential damages, including personal injury, property damage, lost profits, or economic loss, arising from the use of or inability to use the product.
Except for the express warranty stated on this page, we disclaim all other warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may have additional rights that vary by state. Some states do not allow the exclusion of certain implied warranties or limitations on incidental or consequential damages, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
13. Governing Law
This warranty is governed by the laws of the State of South Dakota, without regard to conflict of law principles. Disputes arising from this warranty are subject to the dispute resolution provisions of our Terms of Service.
Nothing on this page is legal advice. Firearms regulations change; confirm current requirements with ATF, your dealer, and a qualified attorney.
